Genesis Chapter 14

Ok wow! Genesis is really picking up in this chapter. As I read about Abram rescuing Lot, I couldn't help but wonder," Why isn't there a movie about this yet ?"

Felicidades a Megancita y Treacy! Son  las rodillas de las abejas!

Genesis: Chapter 12

Chapter 11

The Tower of Babel In this chapter men find a plain in Shinar, Babylonia, and decide to build a giant tower, to show their own greatness. This is when God confuses the language and scatters people all over the earth. They then stopped building the city. This is why is called Babel, which sounds like the Hebrew for confused .  We also build our own personal towers. Today it is more common to show off our own greatness by building ourselves up through achievements, possessions, professions etc. It is important to remember that while there is nothing wrong in these things themselves, they cannot be where we find our own self worth and identity; that is Gods domain. Once any other item or activity replaces Gods position in our lives, then it has become an idol. Do you see a 'tower' being built in your life? The rest of this chapter is the line from Shem to Abram. More to come on Abram!

Genesis: Chapter 4

As told by Rachael

Hello Mr. Fall!

What month is it? Oh yeah, it's October! Call September what you want, but by October, regardless of the weather, I am busting out the scarves and cinnamon scented candles! Thankfully the trees have joined me in celebration and begun to shed their brilliantly ripened crisp leaves. Cody and I aren't about to argue with mother nature, and so we have commenced with the fall festivities! If you are at all struggling to get into the spirit, just follow these five easy steps!

He's Here! He's Here! He's Finally Here!

After waiting what seemed like the longest nine months of my life, September 4th, aka my due date, finally arrived. What was missing? Oh ya, the baby that was supposed to come with it!

Prescott Camping 2013

Crescent Lake or Bust Baby! Each year our family takes a week camping trip to Crescent Lake. It is the highlight of our summer! This year was no different. We enjoyed time with loved ones, relaxed, swam, paintballed, golfed, paddle boarded and of course ate way too many s'mores! Take a look!

Chickens Galore!

Le Tour de Coup Cody has been loving his new job at Old Mill Feed and Garden.  Since he has started working there, we have been more aware of the social happenings in the farming community. We were very excited to hear that last weekend was the 2013 Monmouth/Independence Chicken Coup Tour. What an adventure!

PREGNANCY 101

Easton Alden Prescott We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first son, Easton, for the past eight months. This adventure has been wonderful and exciting from the get-go! Here is a little synapses of our journey! My favorite part, so far, was telling Cody that he was going to be a Daddy-o. With some help from Robbie, I had him convinced that we were all going to the park to take some goofy pictures. Below are pictures of what he really found at our destination.  I found a GREAT song for breaking the news to family or friends in a special way. While Cody opened the ring box,  I played this in the background .  When the message got across, Cody started to tear up, causing his eyes to become hidden behind to lenses of fog.-Adorable!  ______________________________________________________ During the first couple of weeks there was little physical change happening. We spent our time getting used to the idea of being parents.

SHARING SOME YUMMIENESS

Adding a name to the family tree!

LITTLE MISS AUBRY On the wonderful day of June 10th at 7:00 am, our newest member of the family, Aubry Camryn Benelli Garrett, was born!  Cody's sister and brother-in-law decided to adopt over two years ago, but their journey took a little longer than expected (understatement). We know Gods timing is perfect though, and sure enough, now Aubry and Easton get to be the same age!  Now that she is finally here we couldn't wait to go meet her! Here is our first time meeting our newest niece:

Son of a Beach

This last weekend my wonderful and extremely sweet coworker, Sarah, invited Cody and me to join her and her friends at the beach.
