We've Expanded

There have been some changes up in here! Between Cody's job, babies and our living situation, we have been looking to God with our jaws dropped, marveling at His gifts. H ere is our family update as we cruise into the new year.  As it turns out, Cody can really work semi formal attire. Total eye candy . This discovery came with his new position in the payroll and budget office at WOU. He is LOVING both his job and coworkers. Currently, he is completing his degree in business (only because there was no degree for duck hunting available).  Four minutes, by foot, is his total commute time. I get to see him for lunch and he is off at 5. This schedule has me utterly spoiled. Meanwhile, my job is full time Moming. It lacks a salary but hey, I'm my own boss, although Easton (age 2) often forgets this.  Talk about job security, I have currently prolonged my position at home with the arrival of... dah dah dah tah dah: our second son! Let me formally introduce you to the newest addition

The newest member of the family: BOY or GIRL?

Everyone is different, but for myself, pregnancies #1 and #2 have been fairly consistent. Therefore, I have thrown out trimesters and simply divided pregnancy into two halves. The first half is miserable. The second half is awesome.   During the first half, I am exhausted, sick and feel as large as a house that no one knows is carrying a child yet, but is clearly growing out of her pants. If your first 18 weeks of pregnancy only increased your boob size and radiant glow- good for you, now excuse me while I throw-up some more.  The glorious second half however, is where Jesus calms the sea and I can once again eat spaghetti! By this point I have a decipherable 'baby bump' and the real fun begins. For example, with the 20th week comes the anatomy ultrasound. We finally get to find out: boy or girl?! Which is what I present you today! But first, a picture collage from our small reveal party!         And now, what you have all been wait

We're Goin' to Switzerland!

Just the other day I was asked if I was an adrenaline junky. I laughed and replied, "No, I don't think so." Then we traveled to Switzerland with two babies and an three year old. My answer has changed: I either have a serious desire to be reckless, or I am simply crazy. WHY SWITZERLAND? My friend Sonja had gotten the unfortunate news that her grandmother in Switzerland, had recently passed away. I let her know that I would be there for her however she needed me. When she asked for a favor, I immediately said, "Of course, anything." expecting to help out by babysitting or with grocery shopping. Who knew the favor would be accompanying her on an adventure of a lifetime to a breathtaking country full of new experiences and um hello, chocolate!?  TRAVELING WITH TODDLERS Both plane rides were fully booked. The way over, we went to New York, had a 7 hour layover and then a red-eye flight to Zurich. The way back we stopped in Amsterdam just long
