Painting for Taylor

Oh February 14th, you little bugger you! You arrive each year with your Valentines candy, flowers and heart shaped cards, putting high romantic expectations on couples nation wide. This year you went too far. You sent one of you cupids to sucker shoot my brother in law. He approached me with a request to make a gift for his lady friend, the beautiful Taylor Huffman. His only requirement was that it have her favorite verse; John 3:30. 'He must become greater; I must become less' Well here it is, I hope you are happy.

An Updated Update

Excitement and terror. Those two feelings were playing a heated game of Tug o’ war on my uncertain state of mind. Then, they met up with thankfulness and guilt, for a round of doubles. We were leaving the NICU. Why the battle of emotions? Here is the current update on Annette, Charlotte, and the rest of us Prescotts.  No more goodbyes and counting the days until we will see the boys next; this week we got to go home! It happened so fast. During the weekend we trained how to insert and maintain Charlotte's NG tube on our own, and then, badda-bing, badda-boom, we were discharged! We gathered our belongings and walked straight out the door with baby girls in tow, just as I had imagined it from inside alcove #3553, for 47 days. It would have been all sunshine and roses too, if not for the previous day. The baby didn't make it.
